Why I'm Breaking Up With Carbs...

My low carb journey to weight loss!
I'm addicted to fried foods, and things smothered in chili and cheese! It doesn't help that I'm from TEXAS, home of the Fried everything! I'm 5'5 and my goal is to lose about 75lbs. AND I'm getting married next October and I want to look fabulous in a wedding dress!!
I'm blogging the entire experience here. Now for most, this would be easy, buy some veggies, grill your chicken and beef for the week for lunch, dinner, etc. But here is the thing, I do NOT cook, ever! Which is probably the main reason why I'm where I'm at, I lived off of fast food, and I still do. I eat out every single day of the week, so it's a bit more challenging for me to be on this new low carb diet. Oh yeah, it's not a diet, it's a "lifestyle change". I have the help of my wonderful boyfriend who decided he'd join me on this journey. Hope you enjoy reading my blog! xoxo Gina

Friday Weigh In

Every Friday, I will weigh in, I was weighing myself daily but I really want to be surprised now.

March 2, 2012 Total weight lost: 8lbs.

At first I was sad, I wanted it to be way more than this, especially since my boyfriend who is also doing this diet and has already lost 21lbs, and we started on the same day. But I have to stay positive, 8lbs is still alot, if you think about it, that is what some newborn babies weigh!

I found this picture of a random newborn baby that weighed 8lbs, this is how much weight I have lost. I am happy about that when I look at it this way:
