Why I'm Breaking Up With Carbs...

My low carb journey to weight loss!
I'm addicted to fried foods, and things smothered in chili and cheese! It doesn't help that I'm from TEXAS, home of the Fried everything! I'm 5'5 and my goal is to lose about 75lbs. AND I'm getting married next October and I want to look fabulous in a wedding dress!!
I'm blogging the entire experience here. Now for most, this would be easy, buy some veggies, grill your chicken and beef for the week for lunch, dinner, etc. But here is the thing, I do NOT cook, ever! Which is probably the main reason why I'm where I'm at, I lived off of fast food, and I still do. I eat out every single day of the week, so it's a bit more challenging for me to be on this new low carb diet. Oh yeah, it's not a diet, it's a "lifestyle change". I have the help of my wonderful boyfriend who decided he'd join me on this journey. Hope you enjoy reading my blog! xoxo Gina

Day forty

Lunch- Golden Corral- Cheeseburger sliders- I ate the meat & cheese, they were pretty good. I also had a salad with Romaine, cheddar cheese, ranch, cucumbers, boiled eggs, tomatoes and real bacon bits. I love love love boiled eggs so I got a extra bowl of it and bacon bits and a tomato in case I wanted more for my salad.

What do I drink?- I usually drink unsweet tea with 1 sweet and low or water. Jose had been drinking diet pepsi, diet dr. pepper, and other diet drinks because they have no carbs, but I've always loved water and tea even before low carb.

Dinner: Hungry Farmer- Brisket Cobb Salad w/ ranch, I wasn't very hungry and I think it's because I'm sick with a cold. I ate about a 1/4 of this salad and gave the rest to my niece who loves this salad!

Friday Weigh In

I've lost 15lbs, which means I only lost 1 pound this week. I'm kinda bummed and could think of a million excuses why this has happened, I had 2 days off this week that were pretty lazy days, I slept a lot more than usual from being so tired on Monday, and I've had a cold for about 3 days. Hopefully I can kick this cold in the butt and I'm anxious to see how much I can lose next week!

I haven't been exercising and I just know as soon as I do, more pounds will start falling off. I am going to walk Mon-Thur this week and see how that has an effect on my weight loss.

The only exciting thing that happened this week is that a pair of my black slacks that I wear to work are too big!!  When I got to work, I had to roll them at the top, twice in order for them to not be so baggy. I haven't rolled the tops of pants since I was in school and I hated how long our P.E shorts were!! Hahaha!

Here is a pic of my rolled slacks!

Here is a picture of how much weight I have lost in weights:

Day thirty nine

Still kinda under the weather, had a dentist appointment today and it's pouring down raining.

Lunch: Zoe's Kitchen- The insides of chicken spinach wraps (mozzarella, fresh mushrooms, feta,
sun-dried tomatoes, scallions) with a greek salad. I did not eat the tortillas!

Dinner: Saltgrass Steakhouse- Salad w/ranch no croutons & grilled chicken with monterrey jack cheese! (I gave my broccoli to Jose) I'm still not to fond of veggies!

Day thirty seven

We had a luncheon today at work, that I actually made the menu for. But when I put together the menu, I was still eating boat loads of carbs. So I requested Chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans, a roll & a salad! YUM!! So the day came around and, I realized there was only two out of those choices I could eat. But my chef was nice enough to grill me a chicken.:)
Lunch: Grilled chicken breast, green beans, salad w/ranch dressing. (There were mashed potatoes on my plate but I didn't eat any of it)
Dinner: Chick Fil A grilled chicken sandwich no bread of course.

Day thirty six

6:30am flight to Houston so I did eat breakfast today, at the airport.
Breakfast: McDonald's Big Breakfast-I basically ate the eggs & sausage out of this and gave away the biscuit & hashbrown patty. (not pictured because I was very sleepy and not all there from waking up at 4:30am)
Lunch: Teotihuacan-tops of two beef fajita tostadas & a little queso
Dinner: Wendy's W Burger with no bun (got a picture of the last bite!) & a Wendy's caesar salad

Lunch: Pappadeaux: Grilled chicken caesar salad
Dinner: Grilled chicken, Roast something (can't remember exactly), & a salad
After dinner I had 3 glasses of champagne, I don't usually drink, but I needed one after this meeting, ha! Luckily champagne doesn't have very many carbs!

Day thirty four

Lunch: Luby's!! Angus chopped beef steak ( I ate half of this) green beans (ate 1/3) and a delicious salad, which I ate the whole thing!
Dinner: We were at a Houston Rockets basketball game so for a snack I had a hot-dog, Just the weenie of course, and a little mustard, I held it in the bread and would just tear off the bread as I ate the weenie, it's was good! After the game we went to Chacho's and I had eggs and sausage which I didn't finish even half of.

Day thirty three

Lunch: Burger King Whopper- Everything but the bread!
Dinner: Golden Corral: My favorite custom salad, romaine lettuce, boiled eggs, bacon, ranch, cucumber, tomatoes and cheddar cheese! Also had pot roast, spinach & green beans. I'm realizing little by little that my stomach has shrunk, I'm still serving myself as much as I would serve before low carb, and am never able to finish it. From the picture below, I ate maybe half of that roast, half of the spinach and half of the green beans.
