Why I'm Breaking Up With Carbs...
My low carb journey to weight loss!I'm addicted to fried foods, and things smothered in chili and cheese! It doesn't help that I'm from TEXAS, home of the Fried everything! I'm 5'5 and my goal is to lose about 75lbs. AND I'm getting married next October and I want to look fabulous in a wedding dress!!I'm blogging the entire experience here. Now for most, this would be easy, buy some veggies, grill your chicken and beef for the week for lunch, dinner, etc. But here is the thing, I do NOT cook, ever! Which is probably the main reason why I'm where I'm at, I lived off of fast food, and I still do. I eat out every single day of the week, so it's a bit more challenging for me to be on this new low carb diet. Oh yeah, it's not a diet, it's a "lifestyle change". I have the help of my wonderful boyfriend who decided he'd join me on this journey. Day ninety seven
Breakfast/Lunch- Taco Cabana- inside of a breakfast burrito, bacon, cheese, beans and eggs
Dinner- Logan's Roadhouse- Salad w/ ranch, grilled chicken, I gave the vegetable skewer to my boyfriend, I'm not a big fan of certain veggies. And I have to be honest, I had half of 1 roll... based on their nutrional facts, I consumed about 13 carbs in the piece that I had. I have to say, I'm so over fries, but it looks like a buttery roll is still a guilty pleasure... MUST STOP!!! I didn't even take a picture of the roll because I felt to bad about it. =/

No gym today, my 1 and only niece is turning 6 today!! So I spent the evening with her, she also graduated from Kindergarten!! :)

Today is my day off, we were gonna go enjoy a nice lunch together at our favorite restaurant, Teotihuacan, before my boyfriend headed off to work, well, we get there, and as I am straightening into the parking spot, this car swings in behind me and my truck smashes his drivers side door & window in... If that wasn't bad enough, apparently he's related to an employee, and owner or something like that... Needless to say, we did not eat there today, and now I feel like I can never go back. Luckily there are two locations, the other being about 15 minutes further... I'll probably go to that one from now on... =/

Day eighty seven
Lunch- Kroger- I bought one of those hot rotisserie chickens, I only ate a little bit off of it and gave the rest away. (The picture looks like a huge plate of chicken, but it's actually a tiny 6" plate)

Day eighty five
Today I was still sick so I took a sick day from work. My boyfriend also took the day off to take care of me, this was after a night full of cold spells, night sweats, fever, and hardly any sleep.
We went to Luby's for lunch and my boyfriend kept telling me that that I needed some bread in my system, we are both doing low carb so he knows bread is a big no-no! But I did give in... a little bit.
I got myself together and hit the gym in the evening, that made me feel a little bit better.- 3 miles and a little bit of arm workouts.
Lunch- Luby's- Salad w/ranch, chopped steak, green beans & a tiny bit of a wheat roll, yes, I gave in.
Dinner- Taco Nazo- Inside of 2 beef fajita tacos w/cilantro and monterrey cheese

Day eighty four
Today I woke up with the worst stomach virus ever, I even missed Church! I managed to drag myself together and take my family out to lunch for Mother's Day. I came home and took a long nap, didn't wake up until it was time to take my boyfriends mom out for dinner, still feel sick, but pulling myself together!

I was super excited to hit the gym this morning, not only to find out how much weight I've lost this past week, but my boyfriend gets to join me today for the first time, so excited to show him around my gym!!
I hop on the scale, and to my surprise, I lost 4lbs this week!! YAY!!!!! Total weight lost so far-26lbs!!
Here is a picture of me being silly and trying on clothes I wouldn't even dare wear anytime soon... I have no shape-wear on underneath, so you can see my tummy sticking out.

Reply: I have self control but it gets hard sometimes, a lot of times I'm all by myself when I'm eating lunch & dinner, it would be so easy to just order fries, or something fried because after all, no one is there to see me, but I guess that is where my blog helps, because I feel like it's holding me accountable, as well as my readers, and I don't wanna let myself down, and I don't wanna let the people who read my blog down. I've seen people on here that are like, omg i just ate a whole pie, luckily i've never given into temptation, but i haven't really had any temptations around me, just at the drive thru. Last week I came across some fresh m&m cookies, they looked and smelled so good, I turned the container over to just look at the carb amount, 1 cookie was I think about 28 carbs, I seriously contemplated about eating half of it, but then I thought about how much harder and longer i'd have to work out, and how awesome i've been doing, and how I love seeing my results every week, I though about how loose my clothes are and how I look naked, and it just wasn't worth it. I don't wanna mess up and blow up back to where I was before, I've promised myself that I will never ever go back. I seen this sign that says, "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" and honestly I kinda just repeat that in my head when i'm in front of something that smells/looks good but is super fattening, I know that once I go a little longer without it, it won't even phase me.
