Today was one of those days where nothing went right, one of those days I would have easily slipped back to my old habits, but I know that is not an option for me. Instead, I tricked myself to think I was indulging in an old favorite, nacho's from taco cabana.
Lunch: build your own bowl- salad blend-0 carbs, ground beef-3 carbs, shredded cheese-0 carbs, queso- 6oz-10 carbs, total 13 carbs, a bit much but compared to my regular beef nachos at 92 carbs, I don't feel too bad.
Dinner: didn't feel like going to eat so I worked with what I found in my mothers kitchen, ground beef that I made into a beef patty-0 carbs, sprinkled some Colby jack cheese on top-1carb, and half a can of French cut green beans-2 carbs
Daily total-16 carbs
I finally started implementing my 30 minutes of exercise today, walked the track for 30 minutes. Feel great!
Why I'm Breaking Up With Carbs...
My low carb journey to weight loss!I'm addicted to fried foods, and things smothered in chili and cheese! It doesn't help that I'm from TEXAS, home of the Fried everything! I'm 5'5 and my goal is to lose about 75lbs. AND I'm getting married next October and I want to look fabulous in a wedding dress!!I'm blogging the entire experience here. Now for most, this would be easy, buy some veggies, grill your chicken and beef for the week for lunch, dinner, etc. But here is the thing, I do NOT cook, ever! Which is probably the main reason why I'm where I'm at, I lived off of fast food, and I still do. I eat out every single day of the week, so it's a bit more challenging for me to be on this new low carb diet. Oh yeah, it's not a diet, it's a "lifestyle change". I have the help of my wonderful boyfriend who decided he'd join me on this journey. Hope you enjoy reading my blog! xoxo GinaFollow me on INSTAGRAM @breakingupwithcarbs, simple & easy choices whether you are at home, at a restaurant or in the drive thru!

Day eight
On day 4 I learned rum + diet coke is zero carbs. But last night I read that I should try to avoid alcohol even at zero carbs because my body will focus on burning the alcohol before anything else until it gets out of my system. BOO!
Lunch: grilled chicken Caesar salad with NO croutons from wings n more
Dinner: 2 mc'doubles minus the bun and a side salad, I ordered ranch for the dressing but once I looked at the nutritional facts, it had a total of 9g, WOW... I used 1/4 of the pack but then ended up throwing it all away because I just couldn't get past the 9g of carbs, plus I'm not a big fan of Ken's steakhouse dressing.
When I took the croutons off of my salad, they made up an entire slice of bread!

Day seven
Brunch: 4 scrambled eggs with cheese & 4 crispy bacon strips at Denny's
Dinner: Blue Water Seafood-large dinner salad with ranch and Monterrey chicken which is grilled chicken topped with Monterrey jack cheese and pico de galo (Note-my boyfriend thinks it's funny to put prop's in my photos, hence the miller lite (not mine but at 3.2 carbs, not bad, and the crawfish hanging out in the back, I don't like crawfish, but again at 0 carbs, not bad!)
